WACOSA EMPLOYEE RECEIVES AWARD FROM MOHR

WACOSA EMPLOYEE RECEIVES AWARD FROM
MINNESOTA ORGANIZATION FOR HABILITATION AND REHABILITATION

WAITE PARK, MINN. (June 24, 2014) – WACOSA employee Becki Peterson was honored by the Minnesota Organization for Habilitation and Rehabilitation (MOHR) with an Enrichment Focus award, which recognizes professionals who work with persons with disabilities who choose not to work. Peterson was presented the award at the annual MOHR meeting held in St. Paul earlier this month.

“Becki goes above and beyond to work with WACOSA’s retired seniors at our Whitney Senior Center site,” says Steve Howard, WACOSA Executive Director. “She often offers new experiences to the clients by taking them on outings in the community and bringing in animals to the program. It’s people like Becki that make our organization a leader in central Minnesota, serving individuals with barriers to employment and daily living.”
Additional award nominees include WACOSA employees Jake Hawkins and Lisa Eggersgluess.
